I have never understood the people who put academia over actual experiences – the two belong together in balance not in competition, and at the end of the day life is there to be experienced. Think about that. It is there to be experienced. You can learn as you go along but you can only experience life the once. Have accidents, make mistakes, hell, make mix-tapes for fuck sake, do something, anything, that says you’re actually alive.
Please – I’m not trying to preach a point of view as much as just wanting to see everyone enjoy life. Many don’t, and for some reason I actually care about that.
Stop thinking you need to reach the top, and that you need to shit on others to get there. Take criticism, you’re not perfect and never will be. Or are you so insecure in the bed that you’ve made for yourself that you have to project that ‘you’re better’ on others to lie happy at night?
…she’s been on my tongue all morning, so I may as well use a few words by Marianne Williamson here.
“There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.”
I try and enjoy the time that I have in the way that I wish.
What’s your story?
