A promising rebirth of live, local music in the North happened up at the revamped Kellys for the St. Patrick’s Day Hooley on the 17th – headlined by the epic And So I Watch You From Afar it didn’t disappoint. Despite facing stiff competition from Team Fresh, Ed Zealous, Panama Kings, Crooked Little Town, Under Stars & Gutters and The Reno Room; last minute replacements A Plastic Rose shone through, almost eclipsing the headliners by charging the crowd into a frenzied sing-a-long.

What more can the new venue promise after a night of such high quality noise, moshing and stage diving?
